Travel writer Gerry Franks likes Pig Feathers BBQ! On January 27, 2013, his review was published in The Oregonian. He wrote:
"Toledo's downtown Arts District includes galleries and artists' studios that open their doors the first weekend of every month for show openings and receptions. Each month highlights a specific theme and artist. A visit to Toledo might also include a trip to Pig Feathers BBQ (300 S. Main St., Toledo; 541-336-1833) for succulent, finger-licking-good baby back ribs. Proprietor Stu Miller gives the ribs, burgers and prime rib a good rub-down with his hand-blended, award-winning spice concoction before they are smoked or grilled; choose from a la carte meats and house-made sides or opt for a meal of your favorite or a combination of ribs and wings. Burger lovers have a spicy assortment of offerings from which to choose. Pig Feathers also sells small-batch rubs and sauces by the bottle; sauces such as Smokey Sweet, Smokin' Wasabi and Savory Napalm (heed the warning if you have delicate taste buds) are gluten-free and descriptively named. You're sure to need a cold beverage; I recommend a pint from the adjacent Twisted Snout Brewery and Public House (318 S. Main St., Toledo; 541-336-1833). "
